At CEC we live safety each day. For us, making sure our people, our subs, and the public are safe is not a box to check, it’s truly an integral part of the job. It’s the first thing new recruits are taught, and it’s the first thing discussed at the morning meetings. When it comes to safety, we’re never done. Our Safety Managers walk the sites. Daily. Looking for the hidden hazard. We empower all employees to take responsibility for safety, their own and others. We use training, written plans, JHA’s, signage and conversations to make sure everyone is one the same page.
Some have suggested we over do it at times. We take that as a complement.
CEC’s safety goals:
- Promote the concept of truly injury free projects.
- Encourage feedback from crews in the field.
- Comply with all regulations and best safety practices for our industry
- Ensure employees and partners pursue individual safety goals.
- Mandate employee safety orientation/training programs.

- From a safety perspective, treat our vendors and subs as members of our team, and partner with companies and subs who share those values.
